Just a couple of things:

  • The seats are in great condition, and sought after - GLWS
  • Tesla won't install them anymore, but there are tutorials on YouTube and a TSB on the forums
  • Unless they have an early VIN, the buyer will also need to source a rear cross-member that adds structural support for the safety of rear passengers
  • The part is on a restricted list from Tesla, so the buyer will need to find one from a salvage vehicle or have a body shop order it
  • The average resale price for these seats is ~$1K
Shipping costs for these are also significant, but you may find a local buyer if your price is negotiable.

This is how the trunk of my car looked after removing the seats. Just to give you an idea of the other parts. I have seen the bumper reinforcement sold here between $100 and $200

I have seen these seats sold here between $1500 and $1800.

I did the retrofit on my 2015 S. Here is the list of parts that is necessary to secure the seats.
Hopefully the seller is removing these parts from the car

1) 2 latch and 4 bolts....they are on the sides of the seats
2) 2 hinges, 2 bolts, and 2 tube nuts...this is where the seat folds....the tube nut IS VERY IMPORTANT
3) THE 2ND ROW SEAT TRIMS...this is where the 3rd row lock into the 2nd row...
the seller had to remove the 2 trim pieces from his car...unless Tesla let you order it new.
4) rear bumper brace...there are plenty on EBAY...(not required for seat to function)...BUT IMPORTANT SAFETY ITEM

Thank you very much. This helps.

Tesla WILL NOT let body shop or yourself order any parts for the 3rd row....if your car was not originally equipped

The only parts restricted are the seats themselves, and the rear cross member. I bought the seats on these forums and the cross member on ebay. I ordered all of the other parts from the SC (they even went through the parts list from the TSB with me over the phone), and they just arrived at the SC after 17 days:
