Best of the both world setup for Model S LR.
-
21x9.5 square width with staggered offset. 265/35/21 all around.
-
5 reason for going square width with staggered offset:

1. Flush front and rear without spacer.
2. Deeper rear concavity without running wider rear wheel or tire.
3. Same 0-60 and 1/4 miles time as stock 21” Arachnid.
4. Better efficiency than stock 21”.
5. Tire rotation is now available. Just need to have a tire shop dismount and swap the tire around. ( think of an $100 tire rotation every 6-8k miles)
Some might say this was too much work, but keep in mind you don’t even have this option with factory staggered setup.

I see most everyone that has 20” wheels has Michelin tires and 265/40/20 fronts and 295/35/20 or 305/35/20 rears are the sizes recommended for all seasons. I’m a big Continental fan and their DWS tires come in 275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 rear. Is there a reason those aren’t recommended?

DWS06 is a great tire but the sizing they offer isn't very ideal for the refresh S. 275/40/20 will be too tall of the tire and will rub the front upper control arm. 315/35/20 rear will fit without issue, but you will need to mixmatch the front tire.

The only way to run DWS06 Plus all around is with 19" or 22" setup.
19" (255/45/19 & 275/40/19)
22" (265/30/22 & 295/25/22)

Thanks, makes sense. I just don’t understand why they don’t make them in more sizes like Michelin.

That LR looks pretty damn good! @SignatureSales is it on lowering links? That last rolling shot looks waaay better than the pics in the parking lot but maybe the parking lot pics were just not in LOW?

Stock suspension - low setting. The rolling shot look lower probably because the shadow blend in with the sidewall, which makes the gap look smaller.

Cross post, as I put these in the show us your aftermarket wheels thread. But just wanted to shout out Jamie, I'm very happy with these, thanks! I'd love to get some center caps with the 'S' in black, not sure if that's possible?

Signature SV701s in brushed bronze. 20x10.5 & 20x11. Very happy with the look and fitment. Might think about lowering links and painting my calipers the same red as the car.

Edit: Lug nuts for those interested are from Acer Racing and 14.5 x 1.5 Titanium PVD black cone seat and 33mm tall. I was concerned they would be too short, but IMO they are perfect length.

Looks great! Sorry to go off topic but what Spoiler is that?

hi, i see your running AS4. I just got my wheel set in 20's with AS4 as well and wanted to check with you if you have humming / tire noise between 70-80 MPH. Freaking annoying not sure if it goes away after tires wears down a bit
There's an owner stated the humming noise went away after 1000 miles of driving. Also, turn ARNR (Active Road Noise Reduction) on and off and see if it makes any difference (sometime it's worse when it's ON)

So I have some hum/howl between 60 and 70. Still early days so hoping this will subside. I don't see why the ANRS or whatever they are calling it can't take care of some of that, but it doesn't seem to help. Guess I just need to drive faster.

yea, tried turning off ANR on and off doesn't make a difference. I agree looks like 80+ the sound disappears / substantially less noticeable. Guess my cruising speed is now 80.

Yikes, lol.

But officer, my tires make too much noise at 70, I need to do 80 so I can stay sane!
