Before the Recovery Act, the only highway-enabled electric vehicle on the road cost more than
$100,000. This high cost resulted in large part from the high cost of batteries—a car with a 100
mile range required a battery that cost more than $33,000.

I am sure many others could respond to this, but since I have had a RAV4EV, the Roadster was not the only highway capable EV on the road. And you could buy one, albeit used.
I paid roughly $42,000 for my car before about $10,000 of rebates. $33,000 for the battery? For 100 miles per charge?
First off, the Roadster has twice the 100 miles per charge range as the RAV4EV, so that would make that statement incorrect also.
I wish these people would actually read and get the facts before publishing their lack of knowledge.
