Behind a paywall for me, but hopefully that myevroute guy will not pop up again to misuse the funds. He won 55% of a 20-million dollar provincial project in 2016 and way under delivered.

DoFo doesn’t get to say anything about EVs since he screwed them over before. I’d hope people remember, but I do not have faith in that.

This is good news for Ontario and Canada:

Electric vehicle battery plant will employ 2,500 in Windsor​

Premier Doug Ford told a news conference in Windsor that the joint venture between automaker Stellantis (owner of the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep brands) and LG Energy Solutions “will help guarantee Ontario is at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution and ensure we remain a global leader in auto manufacturing.”

The article closes with this:

At Queen’s Park, opposition parties said Ford’s 2018 cancellation of incentives for EV car buyers and slow movement on charging infrastructure for electric vehicles have hurt the province’s efforts to land electric vehicle plants.

“He’s dragged us backward for years,” said NDP Leader Andrea Horwath.
