Paint on cars out of Texas

Wondering if they paint on cars out of the Texas Gigafactory is an improvement on the paint used in Freemont factory because of the environmental laws in Cali and if new cars coming from Texas possibly not in need of wraps to protect from chips and stones

I have never had a car that did not need a wrap if one really cares about chips and stones. But, yes they should have harder paint than cars produced in California and other states with similar laws on paint toxicity. It is common knowledge in the airplane owning community to never get a plane painted in California since you will have to repaint it sooner because of the softer paint.

Agree with Jboy. Additionally, regardless of where a car is painted, I can't imagine any paint that is strong enough to prevent damage from rocks or other dirt hitting the car from cars in front. In my experience, wraps help quite a bit.
