Paint quality of Midnight Cherry Red and Quicksilver

When the two new colors were announced, it seemed implied that the Germany-produced colors were quite different. More than just color!
Does anyone know if these two colors are of a different quality than the usual paints of the last few years?

Reminds me of the RX-8 "Shinka" edition, though not as satisfyingly dark.

Saw it again today in Copenhagen, when I picked up my white MY … Gotta say that I was considerably less impressed today, when I saw it in moderate sunshine.

Received my white Berlin MY, and the paint job is actually VERY nice - Absolutely not ridges or bumps in the paint. Looked totally different from the version fro. Shanghai I saw in white before I bought it … it almost looked like somebody buffed it up before delivery !
