Passenger window switch fell in cavity on 2021 Plaid

I noticed that the window switch dropped a couple inches into the cavity on the passenger side door. Seems like an easy enough fix, but figured i'd ask here first. Do i need to take off the door panel? Any info would be appreciated.

Tends to sound like one to me. You are talking about the button to raise and lower the windows aren't you?
Dropped a few inches sounds like an incorrect installation.

There was another poster on here recently that had a problem with the door switch for the rear seat that he almost never uses, and Tesla denied his warranty claim calling it wear and tear. So I would be interesting to see if they cover your window switch.

Will report back on warranty...I hope they cover it, although it seems like something I can easily fix if they deny me.

Warranty is covering a new door panel for this. Of course when they came out, the one they brought had a scuff and so I must wait another week...At least it's getting fixed.

Same issue happened to me but I am out of warranty… 550$ to replace the door panel, got any ideas what I should do instead? Lmao

Removing the panel is easy, plenty on YouTube. Putting the switch back with some jb weld or ordinary epoxy on the underside will make it better than new.

Ours on our 2023 x fell inside on the passenger front door and they refused to cover it, we have had the car for 9 months and they said it is abuse. They refused to cover our cracked wheels as well. What's the point in having a warranty if they won't cover anything. Anyone that gets declined I recommend filing a complaint with their state consumer protection agency and with the ntsb.
