I didn't know that reservation flipping is allowed by Tesla. I thought a person has to buy the car from Tesla, pay the taxe(s) and take car title, and then sell the car.

Perhaps this works in self-titling states ?
By the way, delivery window is Dec - Jan depending on config as of today
