quality control 2021 Model S

I've had my 2021 Model S Long Range 3 weeks tomorrow.
Yesterday on a short road trip from Miami to Ft Myers my driver side mirror casing came off.
"Flying off" I should say and then smashed into the side of the car.
I was on the highway and was unfortunately unable to retrieve.
I've covered as best I can but it is now storming down here for last couple hours and I won't see a tech until Thurs - wonder what else other then mirror control is exposed without casing??

Sorry to hear about your moment of awakening. You'll get used to the poor quality.

My 2018 MS is the worst built car I've ever owned. It's shameful. My wife's $25k Subaru is like a mercedes S-class in comparison. She refers to the Tesla as "that really expensive POS." --- She isnt completely wrong.

Actual driving/mobility platform? Terrific.
Fit and finish? Laughably awful.

I recently removed my rear bumper to install an ecohitch for my bike rack. Half the screws that were supposed to be there were completely missing. Not in the least bit comforting to wonder what else was done totally half-assed by the factory.
