Rear fender damaged Tesla SC or nah ?

How repairable is this ? Is this something a Service Center can handle or would I be better off at a body shop ?

No serous paint damage that I can find. PPF on bumper. Fender doesn’t look like it has a crease just pushed In. The impact was with a wooden stair railing

A lot will depend on the state of the bumper cover clips. If they are all intact and not fatigued past their original elastic point... there is hope this is a fairly quick fix.

Else, you might be looking at as new bumper cover or dealing with a rear bumper cover that constantly pops out (especially on warm days, during/after rain etc).

In either case, an SC will likely send off to some subcontracted Tesla certified bodyshop.

When I was at SC last I noticed a lot body related stuff like bumpers in their storage room.
I hope this is an indication they are doing more of this work in house now.

How would i check the clips - would it be viable from under the car or do you have to remove bumper?

Can you reseat them now or dont want to risk it?

Best, if you could remove any stress off the clips until they can be a. re-seated b. repaired.

If a new bumper cover is needed, you may indeed find SCs have prepainted ones available or receive a prepainted one if they order it for you.

Just a follow up. Here are the results of paintless dent repair. This was done by a local company specialized in PDR.

There is a slight panel gap bigger than it was before likely caused by bumper issue - could be clips as Perscitus mentioned.
