Thanks - I have been reading up on it. Few questions:

1. Does the wrapping in any way impact the reflective surface? (make it less reflective) or is it pretty much indistinguishable from non-coated?
Part wrapping makes sense if you are not changing colour of it.

2. Is maintenance for the wrapped parts same as the other parts? (Do you have to wax it etc?)

3. Do you need to take it off again when you sell it? Is it expensive?

Cheers.

1. Indistinguishable
2. Treat it like your paint, wash, wax, etc.
3. Don’t know about removing it upon sale. If I were buying a car and had the option of the previous owner’s film staying on the car or him removing it, I’d opt to keep the film. It lasts 5-8 years or so.
4. “Is it expensive?” I assume you mean to have it removed, I’ve got no idea. It should peel right off so I would not think so.

All ends well! I just picked up the car and it looks like new to me.
The final estimate from the Tesla-approved place was over 7k. This was done for £250+VAT. They even cleaned up all the other little scratches all over the car.
I am a little bit gobsmacked that repainting/repairing wasn't advised as an option from the first place (even though I inquired). This doesn't seem right.
