Refreshed Liftgate Applique on Legacy models

i was thinking of replacing my 2014 MS liftgate applique (chrome with chrome Tesla lettering) with the refreshed liftgate applique (black with chrome Tesla lettering).

I’m assuming it should be swappable. But does anyone know for sure?

And does anyone know the PN? I looked on EPC but only found 1026649-00-F. But I think that is black with black Tesla lettering.

Just realized that I meant to say “pre-refreshed” models with the applique that overlaps the taillights.

wondering the same, have never been satisfied with any of my wrap jobs on it or more recently when i painted it. any updates?

I don't have a model S but for the model X, the new applique fits

Did you order it from Tesla directly? I'm wondering if they'd even be willing to sell a newer part to an older car. They've been getting strict with that

I e-mail to the head of the parts advisor (Tesla Service Center) with the parts numbers that I want to buy and ask if they fit or not with my VIN number

It fits. I got a used one on eBay several months ago, and it's a direct replacement.

Did you get a used one in your color, or did you have to send it to a paint shop to match? Looking at one right now, but it's blue and my car is grey.

Got it in gloss black, with the chrome lettering, however, I used some red Plasi-Dip on the lettering to go with my Black and Red theme on car.
