Supposedly the side view mirrors are removable according to MKBHD, but no one has shown if/how this will be done. Has anyone seen or heard about this feature? Teslas are known to have a decent amount of wind noise around the mirrors and my Model S is no different. I'm hoping this will be an easy mod.

I also would like to learn more about that. Several video reviews have stated that the side mirrors are removable but none of them attempted to do so because the reviewer did not own the truck they were using.
Once removed I am confident you can turn on the side camera images in the center display and either have them visible all the time or just when the turn signal is activated (like in the 3/Y). I would like to see where those images are positioned in the display and how much you can move them around to different locations on the screen.
