So, logic clearly dictates that you ask for a new door instead trying to fix the impossible to align one you have now. I'm sure you'll find something else wrong, but it's a start.

Logic dictates that, if the doors on the Enterprise closed this poorly, Scotty would have done something about them well before Spock ever had the chance to get snarky about it.
