Samsung S 7 E / better phone?

My Sammie phone doesn't like the Tesla or vice versa. It often won't connect to the Tessie.
This morning it wouldn't work the car even when I walked up to the car. Had to use my key card.

But I also had trouble with the car this morning and the charging plug. First time for me to have that experience. Finally got the plug to come out but still don't have an icon for the charge plug on the screen.

Maybe the two are connected, I dunno.

But ever since I got my T3 this phone has been inconsistent about connecting to the car.

I'm wondering if there is a better Sammie phone for the Tesla.

Your experience may have been a network issue or something unrelated to the phone. I had the same issue yesterday about the time you posted your note -- could not connect to my M3 via the app while it was charging. Lasted a couple hours and then was fine. Never had the problem previously and nothing since.

I have a Samsung S7 Edge and it works flawlessly, other than the odd issue yesterday.

I have the S7 and the BT connection is pretty slow compared to my wife's s9 which is instant. Sometimes the car just needs to wake up, other times its the connection between the M3 and the S7.

I wonder if it could be the versions of bluetooth used by the car and the phone.

Older phones just don't handle the BLE well. I had an OG Pixel and it would only work as the key about 60% of the time. Got a Pixel 3 and it's 99.999% reliable.

Time to upgrade!
