Hi! I just came across your posts and wanted to know, how the long term results are? Still nothing broken? I just bought a new Kajak today, which is almost 5 meters in length an weighs about 40 Kilogramms... Thinking about putting it up on my X with the monkey bars... What do you all think? I would greatly appreciate your opinions. Best regards from Germany.

I find upside down kayaks to be a piece of cake. Slices through the wind for the most part. Grab some good pads and you’re good to go.

That would be an interesting physics question - the right way to transport a kayak/canoe.
Which way does more air get captured & create lift? Which way creates more drag?
Is it better to have more lift & less drag or more drag & less lift?

Lift and drag kind of go hand in hand i.e. more lift = more drag and less lift = less drag. So you are actually looking to minimise both. Probably more important that it sits level and dead straight on the roof to minimise frontal area and angle of attack.
