I have a Model S with a glass roof, so no original roof racks option available. Have been using Seasucker roof racks for almost a year now, thought I should share my experience. Have been using them mostly for carrying a windsurfing board and a mast. Occasionally for carrying some other staff (timber from Bunnings, furniture from Ikea). Typically city driving, also some road trips from Eltham to Inverloch. Overall very happy with them, some pros and cons:
Pros:
1. Does the job really well
2. Easy and quick to set up
3. No significant increase in energy consumption
4. Quiet with load on
5. Rock solid, does not feel flimsy at all
Cons:
1. Very noisy without any load
2. Easy to remove, so not theft proof
3. Do not have any rubber inserts, so quite slippery and need tighter tie down
