Sensor fell into front bumper. Any way to get it?

What I presume is my ultrasonic sensor in the front bumper has fallen backwards into the bumper. Anyway to fish this out without taking off the whole bumper? I guess I’ll have to take it for a service appointment otherwise, but I’m out of warranty.

Yes, those sensors are heat pressed into the backside of the bumper. I had two do the same when a piece of road debris hit my bumper. You have to 1. Remove the bumper 2. Use a good plastic epoxy like jbweld original or gorilla glue epoxy and glue the sensor bracket back onto the bumper. Search YouTube on videos on how to remove the frunk and bumper.

Thanks - hoping I can get to it by just removing the frunk rather than the whole bumper. One of the videos I found showed that method. But I have made a mobile appointment to see if Tesla will do it for a reasonable price

$300 to repair through tesla. Probably worth it since this would take me a half day to figure out and probably break some clips along the way

Update here for anyone else who has the issue. Tesla was able to do mobile service and reinstall my own sensor rather than a new one (which would have been $120). Grand total - $65!

Whole thing took around 40 minutes to remove the frunk and reinstall the sensor.

Thanks for the info! My front sensor fell as well. I still have the original sensor.
