Planning to open a Solo 401K for this tax year, but my broker (Merrill Edge) only allows selective ETF/mutual funds. Any recommendation for brokers that allow individual stocks in Solo 401K?
My wife's company 401K allows her to invest in individual stocks through Fidelity BrokerageLink, but not sure if it's different for a Solo 401K. Is there a reason you don't want to do a SEP-IRA?

I’m literally on the process of setting one up now. After a year of on and off research, went with IRA Financial. They are the custodian (I think) that sets up the Solo 401k, and then u have “checkbook control” and can invest in everything from stocks to real estate to crypto to companies. Don’t quite know the process on how to buy stocks yet, but if u want to check them out, their founder has an informative YouTube channel. Just search IRA Financial.
