Spanish Mountain Idyll

On a recent foray into the Covid Continent, we stayed a while at Rustic Rural House Vilella (rusticvilella.cat) near the Pedra Force mountains. Very comfy treehouse was our accommodation.

Hearty unfussy Catalana grub 3X a day, quiet retreat (except when the kids were in the pool), scenic vistas and lungfuls of pure mountain air. Also a Destination Charger

In keeping with the TMC tradition of carping about at least one issue everytime someone gets in a Tesla, I have to say the car's navigation drew an almost perfect vacuum. The car said we had arrived and there was nothing but virgin forest to be seen. We were only a kilometer away from our destination, but we didn't know that. If we had a Boring Company SWAT team to bore through the mountain we would have been delighted.

We maintained our torturous uphill drive and 6km later we arrived, relieved that the DC was in good working order

The car got a lovely pay back for the uphill climb on the way down. Max regen!

Another nice place to visit in the Pyrenees is Can Boix. Also Destination Charger equipped. The DC was shaded - an important consideration if you don't want your car to melt.

You're in the lap of luxury here.

Does look lovely - I'd never get missus in the treehouse too much like camping.

I'm not too sure this positive threads thing is going to work though, one visits TMC to either get depressed of offload (apparently its cathartic)

Not like camping at all. Sink, W/C, WiFi, proper bed, electrics, heated, etc. Your choice of two showers down by the pool. Worth it for the view out the window

Sounds great to me but knowing my wife I would have lost her with 'showers down by the pool'

Have to confess I haven’t motor-boated a pair of Spanish peaks. Will add to bucket list.
