Spare Wheel Spacer?

My father purchased a Model X last year and wants to order a spare tire. I see on amazon they sell tire and wheel but also with or without a spacer. Does he need to buy a spacer?

Please visit Modern Spare website. If you are buying from them, then depending on the year of MX manufacture, you may need the spacer. Depends upon whether you have single or double brake calipers.
