If your 2018 Model S steering wheel controls have stopped working and you have tried to reboot the system by pressing both the controls and the brake pedal simultaneously but it did not work, there are a few other things you can try:
Check the fuse: The first thing you can do is to check the fuse that controls the steering wheel controls. If the fuse is blown, you will need to replace it.
Check the software version: Check if there is a software update available for your Model S. Sometimes, software issues can cause the steering wheel controls to stop working.
Check the connections: Check the connections between the steering wheel controls and the main computer. If there is a loose connection, it could be causing the issue.
Contact Tesla Service: If none of the above solutions work, then it's time to contact Tesla Service. They will be able to diagnose the issue and provide you with a solution.
It's important to note that attempting any repairs or modifications on your own may void your warranty, so it's best to seek assistance from a certified Tesla technician.
One thing that is missing in the list above:
In car choose Service menu and find Wheel configuration button, this will change your wheels seen on the car and app display (and also for the system) but also does deeper restart. If you choose to change the tires you will eventually need to set the right ones back so it will perform second restart.
