Sudden drop in power production for the second April in a row

My panels were installed in 2022.

In April 2023, power generation dropped suddenly, e.g. 40%.
The Tesla repair crews eventually traced it to what was presumably a loose wire - there was arcing on roof.

Two months ago, in mid-April 2024, the same drop in power generation occurred again.
It took until the end of May, for Tesla support to agreed the problem was real.
A service visit is scheduled in a couple of weeks.

It's strange that a system would no moving parts would fail in this way.

Is Tesla unable to determine the performance of individual solar panels?

Has anyone else seen repeat (i.e. annual) faults like this?

Perhaps something is "making" your wire(s) loose on your roof (critters / pests).

String inverters only give you data for the whole string, not each panel. And since it doesn't appear anyone at Tesla actually watches the data, we're pretty much on our own to watch our systems and then convince Tesla there's actually a problem.
