Blog Tesla China Hits Record Deliveries in September

Tesla’s vehicle sales in China hit a record in September, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association.

The automaker delivered about 56,000 units last month, accounting for a total of over 133,000 Shanghai-produced cars in Q3. According to the agency, Tesla sold 33,033 Model Y units and 19,120 Model 3 units.

For comparison, Tesla sold 32,968 Shanghai-built vehicles in July 44,264 vehicles in August.

The report comes just days after Chief Executive Elon Musk said that the company’s first factory in Europe could start producing vehicles next month. Giga Berlin is a significant milestone for the company, accelerating the company’s presence around the world. Giga Berlin will begin making the Model Y crossover.
