Hong Kong
A few years ago the Tesla Roadster owners in Hong Kong formed a "Tesla Club Hong Kong". We had some really nice club meet-ups, a few drives, and every a round Hong Kong rally. But, things have been quite for the past year.

Now, the Model S is coming and interest is increasing again. There are lots of things we can do as a community (including pressure government, etc), as well as just have fun with our cars.

So, here are the links. Membership is open to anyone in Hong Kong who is interested in Tesla.

TMC (this forum) group: Tesla Club Hong Kong - Tesla Motors Club - Enthusiasts & Owners Forum
Tesla Club Hong Kong website: Tesla Club Hong Kong
Members mailing list (for all discussions): http://lists.teslaclub.hk/mailman/listinfo/members
Tesla Model S mailing list (for Model S discussions): http://lists.teslaclub.hk/mailman/listinfo/models
Tesla Roadster mailing list (for Roadster discussions): http://lists.teslaclub.hk/mailman/listinfo/roadster

You should be able to sign yourself up to whichever of those you think appropriate. Quite frankly, I think it best to keep most of the forum discussions here on TMC, as it has the largest community. But, for meet-ups and events we'll post to the mailing lists to make sure as many Tesla enthusiasts in Hong Kong get notified.

That's real nice of you. Too bad I might not even have enough money to get Model S eventually. Would love to spread the message of pollution-free driving and make a difference.

Mark - I used to live in HK many many years ago, my folks still do. I have a bizarre question you may be able to answer !

I've often wondered what the kw/mile would work out at on a Roadster, if you drove 1,300ft up from sea level to The Peak. Have you ever done this ??!?

I've done it, but never watched or set a trip counter on it.

Also, what would be -Wh/mile on the way down?

Thanks for the reply.

Never thought about the -Wh/mile idea! I guess that you'd hit the limit of what the maximum regen charge is. I've seen mine go just over -35kw, which at 35/40mph downhill might work out around -350 Wh/m give or take. Hmmm, interesting thought.
