side note: GM was making the EV-1 (Saturn Division) and had decided to stop leases (you had to lease), lied to customers (said they would give to engineering colleges to be studied) and then proceeded to crush them. Many people in S. California tried to buy them, but GM refused to sell. Find "Who killed the Electric Car" a fine Movie. So, at least in the US, they no car company making electric cars. Fork Lifts in warehouses were and still are often electric.

Oh, I forgot, you all probably know this already. Just some of the general public not aware. Almost 2% of new cars sold are now electrics or hybrids. (and for the first time battery electrics out sold hybrids.)
