I don't believe there are any electric only vehicles in Malaysia so I am skeptical how real this news is. I wonder how much the road tax would be as they are based on the power of the engine and not the cost.

As discussed in the Short Term thread I don't think this is an official Tesla announcement, I think it's just MGTC promoting a leasing program for a bunch of Model S's they are importing with no direct involvement from Tesla. Other reports have stated that MGTC is looking for service providers to service the vehicles. Since when does Tesla go into a new market without setting up their own service centers? Plus the link in the story labeled "Tesla News Today" actually goes to "Tech News Today".
