Tesla plans to double the number of Supercharger stations to 10,000 by the end of the year.
The announcement comes as Tesla is set to launch the Model 3, which will increase the number of EVs on the road and potential wait times at charging stations.
In addition to 10,000 Supercharger stations, Tesla will increase the number of Destination chargers – those at hotels, restaurants and other locations – from 9,000 to 15,000.
The busiest travel routes will also receive larger Supercharger sites, the company said.
