The bottom line is that Powerwalls are NOT guaranteed to be UPS grade. Sometimes they will be seamless when the grid goes down and sometimes they won't. If you have any critical loads that should not be interrupted, you should have them on a UPS. I have 3 UPS units. One for my server, one for my DVR and one for my networking equipment and desktop PC.

If you are comparing Tesla PW to other backup system/battery, I think the power capacity and $$$ of Tesla is a winner.
