Load the Tesla app on your phone. You should have them walk you through marrying the phone to your car. Have them show you how to activate AutoPilot in the menu and how to use it. It's really easy. If you've owned EVs before, you will want it set to high regen, standard mode. If you have not, set to low reg, chill mode to start with.

Don't let them rush you. Look over the car carefully. Ask lots of questions. Mine was in good shape except a couple of paint problems and the aft lower trunk liner isn't right. Get stuff like that on the due bill. Make sure the UMC w/J1772 adapter and the tow hitch are there. There is the recovery hook and a shade also.

Set the car to Percentage Display (under display menu) and do the math for the range. Example 281 miles / 80% state of charge = 351 miles.

You should probably only charge to 80% unless you are going on a long trip right away. Regen is not at full strength until 80% or lower.

Why 80% as opposed to 90%?
