Tire noise as car ages

I don't know if I am just used to my car, but I have found the tire noise to have gone up quite a bit on my X. Has anyone notice the stock tires generating more noise as it age? I am just curious to see if this is a tire issue or if it has always been like that.

I am starting to think it is this pavement they are using to quiet the roads, except these tire noises are going into the cabin.
