Tire Pressure

Have MYLR with 19” wheels, driving in NY area is very uncomfortable. I reduced my tire pressure from 42 to 39 lbs and it made it quite comfortable.
Is there any downside ?

Maybe a little reduction in range, but that shouldn't be much of a problem on Long Island or anywhere in the northeast.

If you carry a full loaded vehicle or tow a trailer know that the OE tires only meet their Extra Load (XL) rating when inflated to at least 41/42 PSI.

Although it may seem counterintuitive I find the ride of my 2020 LRMY with 19" Gemini wheels improves when the Continental Procontact RX tires are kept inflated to 43 to 44 PSI (measured cold.)
