Tire Wear?

Have Goodyear Eagle Tourings on 2018 S75D, now with 5,000 miles. Just measured tread depth on all four tires....a bit over 7/32, even wear on all.

The "new tire" tread depth spec is 9/32. If 2/32 is the tread depth endpoint, then a rough projection of mileage, based on measured wear so far of almost 2/32 per 5000 miles, is below 20,000 miles. (7/32 of useable tread at 2/32 per 5k).

Seems very low mileage for this tire.

Heavy car, high temps, massive torque - all not good for tread life.

My car at delivery was not 9/32, Goodyear probably ships them with 8.45/32 and rounds up as 9/32 to meet spec. At 9K miles, I'm still at 7/32.

The P cars are worse - you pay for the acceleration by buying a lot of tires. Wish I had that problem
