Can't remember if I asked this before here - but in any case I haven't had a satisfactory answer - but just how do you take off the small cover over the Model S (2020 if that's any help)?

I watched one video but the lighting was so bad and the hand-held movement made it impossible to see. I have been doen on my knees several times and so far haven't been able to budge the cover without possibly breaking it.

Yes, I've seen that many times (and I can't find it now!) but there is no slot along the top on mine. I have seen several posts about people breaking the flap and I have been reluctant to force it in the past but today I managed to release it by prising it out from the side with more force than I would like, and, having put it back seem unable to get it out again!
I suspect that the details change from one edition to the next.
