Trade 2nd gen TPMS for your 1st gen TPMS

I just bought a set of wheels from someone on my local FB page and they had the newer 2nd gen TPMS that read out individual tire pressures. My car has 1st gen so I just kept my 1st gen sensors from my previous wheels. I'd like to trade these 2nd gen so I can have TPMS for both my all seasons and my winter tires. I have no idea how much battery life is left. If there is a way to check, let me know if you'd like. I'm assuming they all work as the person who sold me the tires works for Tesla. Just looking for a trade but if someone is interested in buying I could do that too I suppose.

Look into having your car updated to second gen, think you will be pleasantly surprised. Had my 2014 updated last fall and price cam down since.

Last I saw it was like $500. I've driven loaners with the individual read outs and didn't care for it much. Maybe when I upgrade to LTE I'll do the TPMS, but for now I'm not sure it's worth it for me.

The $500 includes a set of sensors, mounting and balancing. That way you have new sensors not unknown battery life remaining.
