trade in issues due to previous accident

I ordered a new M3P in Sep and ticked to trade in my current one. I received a message last night asking me for the receipts and invoices for the repair work for the accident I had reported on the trade in form. the accident was back in 2020 and was all handled by insurance company (only rear bumper replaced after someone went into the back of me at slow speed). I called insurance company (direct Line) and they have said that this is a very strange request and they don't hold that information - I was not given any invoices after the works etc.
Has anyone else come across this issue? apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but cant find a post with a similar issue.
on a positive note at least it looks like the order is progressing!!
