Traffic not showing for some roads?

I don't know if something is wrong, or if I don't understand how the traffic function works. Is it crowd-sourced from Tesla's on the road???? The reason I say this is because when I'm zoomed out (or in any mode really) I get SOME traffic lines, but only about half. Is this normal????

I searched a few different terms, and nothing came up. Can anyone shed some light????

Here is what I mean. Though I think I may have figured it out: I read while searching that green lines have "disappeared" and people were upset. I'm pretty sure that the maps now only show orange and red that are traffic areas, correct?? I believe it showed green lines until 9.0, and since I've been on 9.0 since I purchased the var, I've never seen that, only pictures on here which were from pre 9.0 firmware. Am I correct??

I'm hopping you are correct ... this is what my nav screen looks like to, I wouldn't mind the green on major highways, but don't necessarily need it on side streets.

Yes they removed the green lines a few updates ago to make the map more clean.
