That Bosal hitch sounds like a POS. I have one S with the Eco Hitch with the 2inch receiver, which has carried a Zero FX Motorcycle on a dirt bike carrier. (Zero FX minus batteries was ~ 240 lbs, carrier was ~ 50 lbs.). No issues at all, the front end didn't come off the ground (this one made me laugh), the suspension was level (the air suspension equipped Model S auto-levels) and the hitch was rock solid.
On our 90D we have the 1.25 inch hitch made by Draw-Tite, not a durable as the EH with the 2 inch receiver, but it has carried over 200 lbs of bikes and bike racks over thousands of miles, also without issue. The front end didn't come of the ground on this car either, (LOL) and the air suspension auto-levels as designed...
This is towing - we act like little girls here in the US when it comes to towing... this motorcycle can tow a Tesla Model X....
