Turn on/off A/C without affecting the AUTO option

Is it possible to only enable or disable A/C while keeping the AUTO on?

I used to be able to do this months ago, but somehow it got tied up together now, so when I turn off A/C, auto is off too.

I would like the AUTO to remaining always because the fan speeds will continue to alter, the circulation switch will also be maintained if the AUTO switch is not changed.

If you have auto on and turn off A/C, the auto icon will turn off but the fans (and many other things) will still be on auto mode. You can tell because the fan slider is grayed out until you tap it to adjust it manually.

wow you're right, thanks!! Literally everything will still be in Auto, except the auto button not blue.

Not sure if you can help confirm, but it seems they’ve changed it again in 2022.20.6+, and you can’t do that now.
