UK Plaid Deliveries

Hi, has anyone received any information on UK delivery dates for the Model S Plaid?

Spoke to a Tesla guy in a showroom today. Said the factory is ready to go but that it is regulatory approval that is holding up rhd production. Seems odd. So, still 'sometime in 2024'.

Thanks for the update, spoke to a Tesla workshop engineer late last year and he mentioned new training in Q1 2023 so thought they would be UK bound Q2.

All sounds familiar! FSD delayed in UK due to UK Gov regs and now the delivery of Plaid models for the same reason

However Ford managed to obtain UK Gov approval with BlueCruise ............

Seems a bit weird. There's other markets that also need a RHD model. Yes far less countries than UK but still others or maybe business case doesn't stack up making them if you cannot at least sell in UK.

Yeah there is demand for Model S/X in Ireland, UK, Australia, Japan etc but it's still small beans compared to LHD. The good news though is inventory of unsold LHD S/X is climbing, they may introduce RHD soon. I wouldn't be surprised if there is Q3 production for Q4 delivery, though my heart has been broken so many times now since October 2021 that i won't believe it until i am actually sitting in it!

True but still you’d hope it’s enough to do RHD. I mean they did in the past when they’d have sold less of the cars when EV’s were newer compared to now when you’d assume they’d shift in higher quantities. Economy issues excluded of course.

UPDATE looks like there will be NO RHD model S / X for the UK in the foreseeable future! only LHR anyone else got an email ?
