Update 2018.50.6: playing MP3 from USB stopped working

After update to 2018.50.6 MP3s from USB sticks no longer play.

Tried resets, reformatting, copying files, several USB sticks.
When plugging in a stick it reads the file list and display it correctly.
Selecting any song leads to a "loading error".
100% reproducible.

This is a Tesla "classic car", MS from 5/2014, no AP, VIN 347xx.

Bummer! I wonder if it's the same on newer HW, in which case thanks for the warning and I may skip this one ...

AP 2.5, MCU1, no issues with USB media player. It looks like Tesla fixed a bug where the back button would cause the entire MCU to hang.

When posting about bug reports please include detailed info about your car, at least model and year.
A model S from 5/2014 is not the same as a model S from 12/2014 as in between AP1
was introduced and lots of other changes made. Even when built the same month you could
have the tech package or not, have premium sound or not etc. If your hardware is different
then your firmware is different, and you also get your unique selection of bugs ;-)

I tried a factory reset and therefore lost my trip data, but USB still doesn't work.

I just downloaded 2018.50.6 last week to my 2013 Model S and now most of the 3400 songs on my USB result in "loading error." Anyone hear of a new update that will correct this?

@memcd, I have the same issue. Would rather have playable mp3’s on an improved player GUI than another TeslAtari game or fart noises.

I converted all my mp3 files to flac...USB playing again.
