USA Non-Urban Supercharger Common Host Location Types

This is for open Superchargers.

Host location types that are 5% or more of locations.

Now:

There's a clear trend to have more Superchargers at grocery stores and gas stations, and fewer at hotels.
Grocery store and regional gas station chains have embraced hosting Superchargers.

Note that classification for some can be a bit tricky.

For example, Mall is a catchall for enclosed malls, open malls, strip malls and mixed-use developments.

I've used parking garage or parking lot to mean a general garage or lot.

Nice summary, thanks for putting that together. I kind of prefer the Hotel locations myself, they are often cleaner than the gas station type locations.

I have to wonder if they have a preference list for types of locations or if they just try and find locations with big enough parking lots that the owners are willing to give up a few for the superchargers. Anyone know how the selection process really works ?
