Walk-away Lock Confirmation Sound no longer tied to profile?

Pre 2023 Xmas update

- my profile had "Lock Confirmation Sound" turned OFF
- my wife's profile had it turned ON

Post 2023 Xmas update
- this setting appears to be tied to the car and not to individual profiles
- but now I can make fart sounds

Some product person dropped the ball here (or the inmates running the asylum), why would you downgrade a user setting to a system setting?

Guessing there is nothing to troubleshoot here, maybe I get lucky on a future update and can change this on my profile again?

I doubt that change was intentional. Try rebooting if you haven’t yet. Profiles have always been quirky anyway.

Yeah, I tried rebooting - no change

If you use Easy Entry, check that profile and make sure it’s turned off there too.

Are either you or your wife (or both) using a cloud profile? Since you appear to only have on Tesla, it shouldn’t matter, but it might be relevant.

I don't know why they can't fix the Easy Entry profile so that it only stores/changes seat and steering wheel positions. It shouldn't touch a damn thing besides that.

Were you able to solve this? I'd rather have different sounds by profile.
