Wet in compartment under boot

I was suspicious, boot felt damp in the deep part. Finally had a proper check, sure enough the sponge underneath the liner is soaking. Now drying out in the house, hose pipe and crawling in the boot looking for drips tomorrow :( then the long wait for a SC appointment:mad:

Sorry to dig this thread back up. Wet compartment below the boot in my car and wanted to update with where I got to during/after an SC visit.

Current situation:
- Reported to Tesla with new photo evidence on 8th January; now awaiting service appointment to demonstrate and resolve (currently scheduled for Feb '20)

Water is definitely entering through the marked holes (trim removed):

Will keep updated with how this progresses.

Tesla took the car in again on 4th Feb and immediately (almost too quickly) diagnosed a faulty seal at the boot hinge, which was removed and resealed. After one night of rain I awoke to this...

The car is now back with them (since 17th Feb) awaiting further diagnosis and repair. Granted, it's been a generous test bed of weather lately, but the whole issue is starting to test my patience.

Failure to correct the fault this time round will have me seriously considering consumer rights and whether to reject the car as defective from purchase. Really wanting to avoid this situation - the car is otherwise incredible - but certainly not looking to be stuck with a lemon for years to come.

If it helps, mine had a pin hole gap in some mastic that is overpainted on the boot, where the light fitting is attached to it. With the mobile tech in the boot with a torch and me with a hose pipe we found it dripping in quite clearly. Needed the trim panel on the boot removed to see it.
