hi all

my MX is coming with standard 20in slipstreams but I want to change them for something black.

Ideally the 22in black turbine and I can get them for about 2.5k minus tires but I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestion for UK suppliers that do alloys for the MX

I’ve looked at TP in the USA but shipping is shocking and their prices.

I looked at weheels a while back for the MS but decided to stick with Tesla stock.
Really to go 3rd party you would want forged given the weight of the vehicle and in you case the profile tyre for 22inch, then you go straight over your £2K5 price.
However if you're feeling flush Vossen do some great wheels and would be my choice - nearest centre to you is Prestige Wheels in Birmingham

Why don’t you just get the slipstreams sprayed black or grey? It costs about £50 a wheel to do professionally. I would stick to tesla’s Own wheels as they will be the most aerodynamic and will give you the best range

Was thinking of getting the stock ones painted by wheel specialists for about £300 but someone suggested could be issues with warrentee?

Also if I’m honest I don’t like the slipstreams, turbines are the nuts

yes but you will take a hit on range though, but they look awesome!

My neighbour recently sprayed his Audi s5 wheels with black plastic dip looked really good and you can peel back off again no problem.never even took tyres or wheels off to do it.

Range is a concern... but looking the nuts may be more of a priority lol

I’m a big DIYer and thought of doing plastidip but I’m worried it would look crap and start to peel when chipped and don’t want to make the MX looking poop

Why don’t you just wait till you get your first scuff or kerb the wheels then powder coat them properly at that stage
