When to delay delivery?

Just got the text asking if we're trading in anything and our EDD is 3/20 - 3/31. We're closing on our house beginning of April, so we decided it's best to delay until after closing instead of messing everything up.

When is the best time to let Tesla know? No vin has been assigned yet. Hoping it doesn't turn into June jail or having Tesla cancel our order. Thanks!

I agree to delay to receive the car. It may mess up your mortgage loan, cause the auto loan may be added to your debt ratio. You may need to get advise from your mortgage officers.

Agreed! Just trying to figure out if I should wait until I get a vin to ask for the extension until April.

Hi @usklx, just wondering whether you had to delay yet. I didn’t have to - my EDD still shows April 10-May 8. It would be better for me if I get it in May. I’m still trying to find the best way to delay, and at what point to delay. Any ideas? Thanks!
