White car, every time I wipe it down I get black material on my rags

black material on my rags..the rear end is alway a little bit worse. I had this happen on my last ICE car and assumed it was my own exhaust. Now I am thinking it is just simply air pollution, maybe fine particles from tire wear. Or is it a combo of both air pollution ( now I can be vituous and blame the ICE vehicles! ) or not. Any takers on my stilted question?

She is driving the car today. NO, not clumps but dust..black dust. On the white rags I use it looks just like graphite or black chalk powder.
