Why is there a 2-3 second gap between TeslaCam recordings?

I'm using a Samsung T7 SSD (as recommended at a lot of places) in my 2018 Model S 75D.
Each mp4 file is 59 seconds long and there is a 2 second difference in the time stamp file names of consecutive recordings.
So there is roughly 2-3 seconds missing every 61-62 seconds.
TeslaCam is a significant reason why I chose the car and this is rubbish. Having used Dashcams in cars since 2013, this is totally unacceptable.
What if something critical happens in the 2 seconds that TeslaCam isn't recording?
Is it possible to fix this broken aspect of TeslaCam?

If you save the recording either manually, via the horn or if there's an incident it will write a 10 minute long video, you are looking at the continuous recording which is known to have gaps like this, particularly on older cars.
