will PPF and Coating stop cars from rusting?

hi, we live in upstate ny, all our cars have developed rust likely due to the salts used on the roads. was wondering if PPF and ceramic coating will prevent rust on our MY?

any advice is appreciated

No.
Major rust usually begins on the backside of panels.
The aluminum construction of Teslas is likely to help but it too can eventually corrode.

PPF only protects the side of the metal it is applied. That should prevent rock chips which might expose the metal and allow rust to start. However, as @SSedan states above, likely the rust starts at a water gathering spot behind a panel or other obscure spot. If rust takes hold, it will just bubble through the PPF if it's applied to the same panel on the outside.

IIRC only the hood and trunk doors are aluminum, rest is steel
