Still under investigation, but I am inclined to agree. Driver is in critical condition and can't be interviewed. Report did not say anything of what the two other passengers may have said.

I'm definitely inclined to agree given these two statements in the article:

The man driving the Tesla was picked up and taken to a hospital by someone driving another vehicle, police said.

The Model X SUV was the only vehicle involved in the crash. Authorities said it was traveling at a high rate of speed.
